January 2 has become the holiday highlight for "Club
2" This is the second year on that date that Marilyn Miller

Mrs. Ursal (Jo Anne) Snapp, sis

Her bouquet was of hofiy, white
mums, and poinsettias.
Mrs. O. Mosser Taylor, sister of
the bride, assumed the duties of
Mrs. Kandra, who due to illness
was unable to attend her daugh
ter's wedding. Mrs. Taylor wore
light green taffeta, and her cor
sage was of pink rosebuds.
The young couple received at a
reception In the social parlor ot
the church. The refreshment table
further carried out the holiday
color scheme and motif. Square
white Christmas candles were
placed on either side of the wed
ding cake, decorated with silver
bells and holly, with real holly
circling the base.
Eileen Noonan cut the cake; Mrs.
John Bryngelson and Mrs. Edward
Borero, sister of the bride, poured.
Two of the bride's neices, Patty
Smith, Malin; and Janet Dixon,
Los Angeles; served at the punch
and gift tables. Guests were reg
istered by Mrs. George Price of
San Diego.
For .travel, the new Mrs. Scronce
wore a light blue knit suit, match
ing hat and brown accessories. Aft
er a week's honeymoon trip to Reno
and Sun Francisco, they are now
at home here. Mrs. Scronce teaches
at Fairhaven school, and he is
employed at Griggs store in Mer
rill. - Out-of-town guests included Dr.
and Mrs. O. Mosser Taylor, Janet
and Richard Dixon of Los Angeles:

HER ENGAGEMENT , . . was announced to close friends and
former classmates (feminine), Dec. 25; but no picture was
available for release earlier than this week.
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Weber, Malin, was the
scene of a buffet dinner on Christmas Day, when their daugh
ter, Anita Jane revealed the name of her betrothed, Clark
C Unruh, when quests read messages inserted in ornaments
attached by a length of ribbon to each plate.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Unruh, also of Malin.
The affianced are farmer schoolmates; and both are graduates
of Malin High School. They plan an early June wedding.

Announced at home, was the en
gagement of Anita Jane Weber,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Weber; to Clark C. Unruh, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Unruh, all of
Malin. The announcement was
made at the Weber home, Dec.
25. to a group ot girls, many of
whom were members of Anita's
graduating class from Malin, class
of '53.
Guests were Invited to a buffet
dinner and Christmas decorations
prevailed throughout the rooms.
The buffet table featured a center
piece of pine boughs made into
bows, witn pine cones, varying
from large to miniature, arranged
with ornaments and' sprays of hol
ly and mistletoe around the base

The bride has lived In Klamath
Falls since 1948 and the bridegroom
was born here. The young couple
plan to make their home In Klam
ath Falls.
The bridegroom served In World
War II, in the coast guard, and
was stationed In the European
Theater and Correaidor. He en
listed in the navy' in '51 and was
discharged in '52 after serving
about one year.

The bride-to-be attended Iowa State Teachers College
and is at presvnf a member of the faculty at Fairview School.
Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie L. Pope, 237
Jefferson. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and is
a draftsman for Weyerhaeuser Timber Company.
