V. W Native chiefs In Africa trouble the French almost as much as their changing chiels of government at home. U. N. Trusteeship Council peti tions detailed Wednesday some of the difficulties the French have in their African Cameroons trust ter ritory. Because the Caineroonians are among the U. N.'s 20 million trusteeship wards, they can bring to the top international organiza tion complaints that are handled in minor courts in many other countries. Bob Dung Benolt was one com plainant. He lives in Doune, in the Haut-Nyons region. Because he his father Amaeou died, he claims and his brothers were minors when other chiefs took over both the Job and the Amagou house. ine latest alleged usurricr. Ka- manaa, recently died and Bob uang wants the lob, .as well as the house. Boh Dnno savs Kaman- da stripped the house and he wants damages. To Ihe trusteeship council, now In recess until next spring, the French administering authority re ported Bob Dang was not really in line of succession as chief. As to the house, the French answer indi cated the Cameroonians are a thorough people. They said Kaman da vacated it, but "is said to have removed the roof slats, the rafters and the bricks of the veranda Since then the house has remained abandoned." What looked like topsy turvv ac tion was contained in a petition from Mbida Joseph Assena, who claims that he ought to be "king" ot All Theatrei 12:45 P. Mbida Joseph alleged that he sued the usurper' "but this only resulted In the Imprisonment of the petitioner" Mbida Joseph himself. The French answer: The com plainant was really sent to prison for three years on conviction of embezzling tax money. GIFT BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.
