grams telling the story of Christ-1
mas will have its second broad'
cast, this Saturday, Dec. 12, at
6-45 p.m. over KFLW. Hie docu
mentary programs are prepared by
the Radio Committee of the Klam
ath Falls Ministerial Assn.
Chapter two in the series will
concern itself with the preaching
of St. John the Baptist, who
showed that the proper preparation
for Christmas is repentance and
faith in God's gift. That emphasis
is carried through in the program
through Scripture readings and
selections from the writings of the
poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay.
The first program was entitled.
"The Search that Lasted Forty
Centuries." This week's program
is called "The Voice in the Wilder
ness." The last two weeks of Ad
vent win feature "A Son Is Given1
and "The Afterglow of Christmas.'
First Covenant To

opportunity to hear an Illustrated
talk on China at their Friday, Dec.
11. meeting scheduled (or 7:45
p.m. Pioneer missionaries. Mr.
and Mrs. Englund, who are being
reassigned to Formosa, will speak
to the group on their experiences.
The Junior Choir will provide
Christmas music. Every family In
parish is Invited to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Pierce, mission
aries to Japan, will speak at the
opening exercises of the Sunday
School Dec. 13 at 9:43 a.m. The
Pierces are connected with the
Child Evangelism Fellowship, an
international fellowship with head
quarters In Los Angeles.
At the regular Sunday morning
worship, the Rev. Joel Norlund,
pastor, has chosen for the subject
of his sermon. "Cod's Clock and
Christ's Coming."
Sunday evening at 7:30 slides
will be shown on the Covenant
Quadrangle Young People's Con
vention, which is held annually at
Mission Springs, Calif. The 1S54
convention will be held In August.

Night," and the choir will sing two
of Handel's compositions, "Behold
the Lamb of God" and "Halle
lujah Chorus."
The Christmas pageant pre
sented by the youth oivision will
be on Sunday evening, Dec. 20, at
7 p.m. with over 30 youth partici
pating in the Nativity scene and
modern day examples of how to
live with the Christmas spirit.
The Christmas Eve carols and
candlelighting service will be at the
church lrom 8 to 9 p.m. The public
Is Invited to attend.
"Student Recognition Sunday"
will be the theme ot worship on
Sunday morning, Dec. 27, at which
time all returning college students
will be honored.
