Wives Club
Faculty Wives and Women of
OTi held their regular meeting on
Tuesday evening. Nov. 10.
The business meeting was con
ducted by the vice president.
Mrs. Grant Bailey. Thirty one
members and one guest were pres
ent. Mrs. Emil Ranlncn, whose
husband is a new instructor at
OTI, was introduced to the club
members.
A report was given to the ef
fect that Mrs. Wallace Uerlings,
president of the club, had left the
hospital and was recuperating at
home after major surgery.
Plans were started for a Christ
mas parly scheduled for next regu
lar meeting night, Tuesday, Dec.
8. The husbnnds will be guests at
this party, which will be held at
the student LouriRe.
After the business meeting a de
licious lunch was served by the
social hoslesKcs of the evening,
Mrs. Roy Green, Mrs. Edwin Ol-
ton, and Mrs. Edwin Stang. Thanks
giving decorations were used. Tne
remainder of the evening was
spent plnying cards. Special prize
vas won by Mrs. Charles Jacobi.

altar at the First Congregational
Church In Eugene, Saturday eve
ning, Oct. 17, for the wedding of Pa
tricia Guntly, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur Guntly, Eugene; and
Jack D. Bronson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. C. D. Bronson, 1709 Bisbee.
Dr. Wesley G. NicVtolson offic
iated at the & o'clock single-ring
ceremony. Special music was by
Lowell Chase, who sang "Calm
as the Night " and "I Love Thee."
The bride, given hi marriage by
her father, wore a gown of chan
tilly lace and tulle over satin bal
lerina length. Her fingertip illus
ion veil was held by a halo type
headdress She wore a matched
pearl necklace and earrings and
carried a cascade bouquet of
eucharis lilies.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Donald
Rulh who wore a ballerina length
gown of pale green taffeta with
beige velvet sash and beige halo
type headdress She carried a bou
quet of yellow chrysanthemums.

er Room of the church. Decorations
arrangements of fall flowers. Mary
Piatt was in charge of the guest
book. The bride s mother received
in a gold tweed suit with brown
accessories. The bridegroom's moth
er wore a grey suit with black ac
cessories. Yellow chrysanthemums
formed their corsages.
For the wedding trip the bride
wore a three piece grey suit with
black velvet hat and grey acces
sories. The couple will live in
Eugene while the bridegroom con
tinues his studies at the Univer
sity of Oregon.
LANGELL VALLEY A very love
ly wedding shower was given at the
Parish Hall in Langell Valley the
afternoon of Nov. 15 in honor of
Mrs. Hcrbie Snell, the former
Marianna Hellekson. Hostesses
were Mrs." Lloyd, Gift, Mrs. Or
ville DeVaul, Mrs. Wesley Dear
born, Mrs. Russell Walsh, and
Marilee Keysor.
The gifts were arranged on
lace covered tables at one end of
the large room. A beautiful cake
with a big pink heart and the
names Punkie and Herbie, were on
the refreshment table, flanked with
tall candles. After the opening
of the gifts a social time was 'en
joyed. Those honoring the new Mrs.
Snell were Mrs. Willard Noble,
Mrs. John Hellekson, Mrs. Bob Col-
well, Mrs. Christ Hood, Mrs. Mar

decorate the church for the small
informal wedding attended by pa
rents and relatives of the young
couple. A soft blue suit with white
accessories was worn by the oriae.
She was attended by Nancy Kellogg,
KUHS classmate; and Ted was at
tended by Ross Coble.
Jeanne is a senior at KUHS, and
will finish high school in Astoria
where Ted is stationed at Tongue
Point Naval Base. He Is a hospl'
talman 3rd class; and was with the
marines in Korea. He was captured
and was a prisoner of war for 10
months; with 9 months to serve
at present. The couple left im
mediately after the ceremony for
Astoria, and will oe ai nome, no.
