Convict Charged
With Murder
HUNTSVILLE, Tex. tn-A state
Prison inmate serving a 99-year
robbery sentence Is charged with
murder as a result of a fatal sub
bing at the Wynne State Prison
Farm yesterday.
The charge was filed against
Charles G. Dobolow, 44, alter the
death of Marcus Lewis Dennard,

Me Attain." contained a hilarious
satire on 3D movies. The .climax
came when Bob and Mane took on
their polarized glasses at a movie

sequence was well recelyed at the
sneak preview.
Then the nicture was shown to
a top theater chief. He was ready
to buv the film for his large cir
cuit until he reviewed the 3D satire.
His smile became a frown. He
didn't go for the kidding of stereo
films. As A result, the sequence

Korean Assembly
Meets at Seoul
SEOUL Ml The South Korean
National Assembly today met in
Seoul for the first time in three
years.
One hundred ten assemblymen
of the 182-man legislature attended
the first session held at the war
scarred capitol since the outbreak
of the Korean War In June, 1950.
President Syngman Rhee did not
attend or send a message.
An assembly spokesman said to
day's meeting was "only the con
tinuance of the 16th session and
there Is not much new."
The legislature met during the
war yfjnrs in the provisional capital
of Pusan.

earth in the sides of a trench. One
machine gun operated In a nearby

They hugged the shallow holes
whole they listened to Chinese
troops digging beneath them. From
11 a.m. Aug. 26 to 2:30 a.m. Aug.
27, the men held out, firing their
Ineffectual firearms against the
enemy. Hand grenades wounded
the ' gunners and the Chinese
swarmed Into the trench. Four
men lived one of them Ted,
wounded In the legs, feet and back.
He remembers little of the next
six or eight days, except that he
was loaded on a truck with other
captured Americans and driven
North for days toward the Yalu
river, 250. miles away.
Wounds of the Injured were not
bandaged. The weather was ex
tremely hot. Flies settied.on them;
there was no antiseptic; no medi
cine to ease pain except an aspirin
tablet when their captors thought
about giving one.
A Chinese doctor who spoke no
English treated them when, they
reached the prison compound but
maggots were already chewing In
the wounds and hords of lice tor
mented them.
Ted and others were receatedlv
threatened with .death and some
men who, resisted the . treatment
were beaten. He was, threatened
with death because he lied lroon be.

The men lived summer and win
ter in mud and straw huts, sleep

dug channels from a pit in one

corner where they lay, thus warm

and when food was short, - they
cooked and ate a fungus that grew
