More Killings
. .nnu in John Reginald
Christie's lawyers continued their
light Wednesday to prove that the
confessed Netting Hill strangler
ls "mad as a March hare" when
he Uttered his house and garden
with female corpses.
Nervously working his long fing

more slayings than those he re
counted in the witness box.
Christie technically is on trial
only for the murder of his wile
Ethel, whose body was found under
the floorboards of the house. His
attorney says he is "guilty but In.
sane."
The seven admitted victims also
Include three playgirls whose bod
ies were found in a walled-up
cubbyhole in the apartment, two
other women whose skeletons were
dug up from the garden, and the
wife of a neighbor, Mrs. Beryl
Evans.
