Sales Announced
Supervisor John E. McDonald,
Fremont National Forest, has an
nounced the recent sale of 58,200,
000 board feet of Umber in two
separate tracts.
The first sale, consisting of 11,
400,000 board feet of ponderosa piruj
and 2,100.000 board feet of fir. is
located in the Green Creek area
on the Paisley Ranger District.
This timber was sold to the Adams.
Lumber Company at the appraised
prices of $20.85 per thousand for
ponderosa pine, ond $2.00 per thou
sand board feet for the fir.
The second tract, containing 40,-
000,000 board feet of pine and 4.-
700,000 board tect of fir, is situat
ed in the Strawberry Mountain and
Castle Rock area on the Drews
Valley Ranger District. White Pine
Lumber Company was award
ed this sale at the appraised prices
of 116.20 per thousand board feet
for pine and S3.S0 for the fir.
Both of these sales are within
the Lakevlew Federal Sustained
Yield Unit and timber harvested
from them will be manufactured
under unit terms.
