Our discussion brought out the
fact that' there are two kinds of
actors: The - technicians and the
emotional actors. Of course, most
performers are a combination ol
the two, but they generally lean vo
one or the outer.
The' technician knows all the
tricks of acting; he remains out
side the character he plays, en
dowing it with all his skill. The
emotional actor jumps ngnt in ana

"I'm an emotional actor," Ma'
ture admitted. "When I'm doing
scene, i really believe it. I live
the part as; long as I'm. In the
scene. When I started out at the
Pasadena Playhouse, I really went

"I put myself so much Into the
characters that I actually would
become dizzy on the stage during
a highly emotional scene. Finally,
some of the experienced hands
took me aside 'and told me to let
up. They knew I'd become a wreck

Wednesday authorized a 36 per
cent increase in parcel post zone
rates.
The rale advance Is to be ap
plied on a date fixed by the Post
Otfice Department. The increase
Ir expected to add about 150 mil
lion dollars to charges for handling
packages In the postal service. '
Parcel post rone rates cover the
vast bulk of the package mailing
service used by the general pub
lic. Post officials said tentatively
Wednesday morning the higher
zone rates probably will not be put
Into effect until about Aug. 1, so
that the public may have ample
notice on the changes.

old photograph In the Voters
Pamphlet last fall, was acquitted
here Tuesday. ! -
Circuit Judge O. F. Skipworth
directed the verdict after Frank
Relet, Hill's attorney, argued that
the law under which Hill was
charged was a directive to the sec
retary of state and carried no
criminal implications.
The district attorney said that
Hill, now 62, used a 13-year-old
photograph In the pamphlet. Use
of a photograph more than five
years old Is forbidden.
