Prison Guards
Get Training
SALKM iP An Intensive train
ing program for prison guards is
under way. Warden Clarence T.
Gladden said Wednesday.
Gladden said the 10 new guards
began on April 13 to take a two
weeks course from prison officials.
But when that course is completed,
all guards will get constant on-the-job
training,
"We need trnlned leaders here to
educate prisoners," Gladden sitld.
"We don't need muscle men. About
00 per cent of the Inmates will re
spond to a well-organized training
program."
Gladden said It taken 10 years
of active work to produce a good
guatd.
