The First Methodist Church was
the setting for the pretty wedding.
The Rev. Lloyd Holloway read
the 3 p.m. service before an altar
lighted with tapers In floor candel
abra and flanked by baskets of
white stock, pink snapdragons and
woodwardla fern, Feb. 22. The
bride's father g.ivc her in mar
riage. Don McKcntie. vocal soloist,
was accompanied by Mrs. Oordon
Morris, organist.
Her down of white satin and
white Chantllly lace was styled
with a full skirt, full court train.

of the skirt. The long fitted sleeves
were also of the Chantllly lace, as
was the small round collar. Her
shoulder length veil of Illusion net
waa held by a draped crown of the
same net trimmed with seed
pearls, she carried a bouquet of

with aatln streamers.
Mra. Earl Brooks, aisle? of the
onoegroom was matron of honor:
her turquoise taffeta dress was
styled with a full skirt; and her
bouquet of deep pink carnations,
matched her headband.
Mrs, Leslie Shoupe. bride's sister-in-law,
was bridesmaid. She
wore dusty-rose taffeta atyled as
the matron of honor's, and her bou
quet and headband were of dubon
net carnations.
Little flower girl, Linda Brooks,
niece of the bridegroom wore pink
taffeta, with matching hair flowers
and basket.
Best man was Earl Brooks and
ushers were Leslie 8houpe and
Sheridan Scott; who were also can-dlellghtera.
Mrs. Shoupe chose navy taffeta
wltn navy accessories accented in
watte lor her daughter a wedding;
and her corsage was of pink rose
buds. Mrs. Hanson wore a gray
dressmaker suit with black and
white accessories and her' corsage
was also of pink rosebuds.
At the reception In the church
parlors, Mrs. Eugene Shoupe,
bride's aunt from Reno poured:
and Mrs. Edgar Shoupe, also aunt
from Ashland, cut the cake. Mrs.
John Hubbard, Tulelake, passed
the guestbook.
For travel, the new Mrs. Hanson
wore a pale beige suit with brown
and beige accessories. After their
wedding trip to San Francisco and
Southern California, the couple Is
at home, 1211 Fine.
Prior to her marriage the bride
had been teaching in Auburn.

The Soroptimlat Club met for Its
regular luncheon meeting in the
Pelican Cafe Party Room Thurs
day. The speaker of the day waa
Mrs. Karl Urquhart. head ot the
Welfare Bureau of Klamath Coun
ty for twenty years. She M intro
duced by Rhoda Harndon, the
chairman for the day. Mra. Urqu
hart gave a very interesting and
comprehensive explanation of the
work done by Welfare. She stated
that they now also have charge
of Civil Defense In case of any
