Edgar Bergen gave lor ttoin? her
first film role. Under her profes-
alonal name. Frances Westcott. ahe
la portraying Mrs. John jacoo
Astor In the film about the Titanic
disaster.
But Mrs. Bergen admitted there
was another reason. She's tired of
living under the shadow of that
wooden-head Charlie McCarthy.
To her. It's no laughing matter.

a little tired of being referred to
as Charlie McCarthy's mother. I
