Pacillc University has won a share
of Uie Northwest Conference foot
ball tllir.
The Badiicrs tied College of
Idaho for the 1952 championship by
turning back Lewis and Clark 25-7,
at Forest Grove Saturday night.
The co-tltliiui played to a 7-7
deadlock early this season. They
won thetr other conference names.
TOcre will be no play-off. Pacillc
shared the 1951 championship with
Lewis and Clark
Frank Buckicwlcz. triple-threat
all-conlerence hallback, led Pacific
to Its convincing triumph over the
Pioneers. He scored two touch
downs on runs of nine and 36 yards,
and reeled olf several other long
gains.
Willamette moved Into third
place by overwhelming Llnlield,
35-14, in a homecoming game hon
oring Spec Keene, former Willam
ette coach who now Is athletic
director at Oregon State College.
Fullback Paul Jewell and Half
back Chuck Lewis each scored two
