o Paul A. Cordon, who was fatally
wounded while hunlinst near here
Monday, will be Investigated by a
coroner's Jury.
Coroner Ben Colemail ordered
the study and reported that Ulen
Hawkins, also of Vernonia and a
close friend of Gordon, had tired
the shot that killed his hunting
companion.
Coleman said Hawkins told him

he shot at a deer in a wooded
region 10 miles north of here.
Gordon was superintendent of
the Vernonia grade school.
