of Aug. 18 alter the car ran out
of control down a sloping suburban
Baltimore road. On her head were
deep gashes the medical examiner
said could not have been caused
by objects within the car.

Grammer made to police saying
he hit his wife with a piece of
pipe after a half-dozen drinks be
cause she said something about
his thinking more of his job than
"The real facts are. that on the
one hand, advances have been
made In helping cerebral palsied
pattens to live a reasonably normal
life and that changes lor the bet
ter often occur as such patients
grow older.
"But, on the other hand, there Is
actually no such thing as 'out
growing' It and any such state
ment Invariably leads to disap
pointment and frustration on the
part of the parents and the pa
tients themselves."
In an interview st the 21st an
nual meeting of the American
Acsdemy of Pediatrics, Dr. Perl
stein said "There was a time when
most doctors leaned towards over
pessimism, but now the pendulum
appears to oe swinging towards
over-optimism."

"I saw so much of him I didn't

she added. "He convinced me later

She told of their two-week's" stay
