Today the Trojans lace their
first opponents of the year in a
football game with the Klamath
union wildcats, This game was
scheduled for 2 o'clock on the
KUHS field. Though it was a non-
league game, almost every Acad
emy student turned out lor tne
game, eagerly cheering for a first
game victory ior wa,
Because of the Boy's Town Choir
program slated for tonight there
will be no after-game-dance, as the
students are planning to attend this
event.
In their hair, around their necks,
or on their clothes, green ribbons
are being worn by forty rooks as
a part of their initiation. With
three weeks of tormenting to go.
the rookies are getting mighty anx
ious to be recognized as full-fledged
iresnmen.
A meeting of the Chimes staff
was held yesterday during activity
period to begin work on the first
edition of the Chimes paper. It
was decided at the time that all
staff members shall meet regularly
every Thursday during activity
period.
Though Sacred Heart will not
enter into league play until next
week, the other county teams will
compete in their first big game
this weekend. So good luck to all
of you from all of us!

CHILOOUIN Camo Fire Girls
and Bluebirds are assisting now in
the drive for memberships In the
Chilooutn Park Association, and
have set up booths today and to
morrow to take subscriptions to the
park fund and issue membership
drives.
Booths are located In the prlncl
pal Chlloquln stores,
Mrs. Archie Huff is chairman of
the membership, drive, and will
welcome new and renewal mem
berships, which start at $1.
Much playground equipment,
fencing and floodlighting equip
ment has been ordered for the
park, and must soon be paid for.
Clearing work on the park Is well
long and a new atreet lnta the
area is soon to be Improved.

through eyes whose tight has been restored by two cornea operations. Mrs. Radtai, mother of
four children, was blind from 1940 to 1950 and had never seen htr husband until her vision had
been restored. She had been en art student before she lost her sight end plans to resume her
studies. She end her husband ere in New York C ity from their Miami home so that she may make
several public appearances in behalf of the fun d drive of the Lighthouse of the New York Asso
ciation for -the Blind.

Thursday the seniors received
the news of how they fared In the
results of the math tests taken last
Monday. Thirty seniors turned in
papers with the necessary 90 per
cent or more correct needed to
pass. They will not have to take
the refresher course in math that
the rest of the seniors must take.
Five oi the 30 who passed tne test
turned In . perfect papers. They
were Trudy Bramlett, Louie
Fredrickson, Kit Johnson, Bill
Mathews and Jim Weldon.
These seniors got 90 or better on
the test: Marilyn Altman, Ralph
Beardsley. Jane Bowie. Juanlta

Classes In refresher math win

did not take the no credit course
will be informed by the instructor
as to the location of the classroom
where the class will be taught.
Tonight, the Pelicans will be
looking for their second win of the
football season when they meet the
Roseburg Indians In Roseburg. The
Indians lost their only game played
so far when they were trounced
by the Eugene Axeman 27 to 0
last week.
