GOLD STAR BLUE BIRDS, junior members of Camp Fire Girlt. Mrs. Arthur Anderson and Mrs. Gale Osborn are
the volunteer leaders who meko the Camp Fire program available for these third grade girlt at Mills School.
To learn more about our city the group has recently visited the city fire department and the new city Jail. For
their part in "Design Jor Friendship," which is Camp Fire's program theme for 1952, the group visited local hospitals
and the county infirmary to sing songs and take gifts of candy. For handcraft activities they have made gifts for
Mother's and Father's Days and have learned to embroider.
Officers of the group are: Carolyn Osborn, president: Barbara Leech, vice president; Nancy Hugelman, treas
urer; Marjie Welman, secretary; Julia Chaney, sheriff; and Patty Anderson, judge.
Mrs. Gino Carnini is sponsor for the group. Camp Fire Girls is a Community Chest Agency.

"WISH I COULD HAVE DONE MORE" That's what the volunteer leader for. these peppy, seven-year-old Blue Birds
sad when asked what the group had been doing this year., Mrt. George BraHon Jr. Is the-leader who otgnnd the
group last September and the girls have met weekly at her home to enjoy the varied activities of the Blue Bird pro
gram. At Christmas time they made very pretty telephone book covers which were given to th ; mothers when the
girls entertained them at a buffet tea. Blue Belles was chosen for the group name and officers are; President, Stephanie
Lee, dauqhter of Jtr. and Mrs. E. Lee; and Vice President Susan Merryman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Merry
man. Mrs. Merryman serves at sponsor for the group. Member not'pictured, Susan Merryman.
