Over a period of five years our company has invested over one million dollars in grain handling facilities in this
area and we have devoted our full efforts in finding the best markets for your grain products. .
Tulelake Grain Co. announces the appointment of
Harold W. Poort
as general manager and as special representative of Kerr Gifford & Co., Inc. in the Klamath Basin and Tulelake and tributary
areas. Mr. Poort was formerly manager of the grain department of the Farmers Grain Cooperative in Ogden, Utah, which is the
largest grain buying cooperative in the Inter-Mountain area. Harold Poort has been trained to service the farmers needs, and It
will be our pledge to render a service to the grain growers of the Klamath Basin in receiving, storing and marketing their grain.
There wiH be no change in the policy of our company.
LOUIS STEWART will assist in the buying of grains and clover, and FRANK WAGNER will remain as office manager
at Merrill. JOHN SANDERS will be in charge of the feed mill operations at Merrill soliciting the requirements of
the farmers for feeds, seeds, fertilizers, and other farm supplies. TOMMY CHATBURN will assist Mr. Sanders in .
these duties. BRUCE HAGERMAN will be tn charge of turkey operation.
Tulelake Grain Company operates grain storage and grain handling facilities at Kandra Siding on the Great
Northern Railway; Staley on the Southern Pacific Railway; Jap Camp on the Southern Pacific; Stonebridge on
the Great Northern; Merrill on the Southern Pacific and Great Northern; Lost River on the Southern Pacific; and
Dairy on the O.C.E.
All storage facilities will be supervised and 'operated by experienced personnel, and will be in complete readiness
to receive and handle your crop. It is only by proper service and by affording the top market on your grain crops
and on clover that we can expect to merit your business and your faith in our management. We pledge that we
