Stockwell ' chokingly concluded
his telephone conversation with a
lady about a burglary and led Todd
to fresh air. The fumes spread to
the Juvenile and traffic offices
which were hurriedly evacuated.
It whs half an hour before Todd
and the displaced policemen could
re-enter the building.
The Jailer said he's In no hurry
to get a refill for his pen.

the U. 8. Forest Service which re
ported a 98 per cent kill In the
670.000 acres of Oregon and Wash
ington forest which have been
sprayed Ihls year.

1949 and since then, with federal.

The club met at the home of
Carol Reihng. Aug. 6. Mr. George
Rcillng gave as some pointers in
Judging dairy cows. He had three
cows of different breeds. Holstein.
Guernsey and Jersey In the barn
for us to judge. He told us bow to
know a good milk producer from
a poor one. Mr. Reilinar showed us
the difference between the three
breeds of cows. The members also
toured the dairy barn which has a
modern pipe line milker. Then we
looked at some small dairy calves.
After looking at the cows, we had
our business meeting. We discussed
the decorations will use for the
bam at the fair and where we were
going to get together to paint our
feed racks. The meeting waa ad
iourned and refreshments were
served by Mrs. George Reiling.

orders was so worded that 35,000
units were not Included and Sat

Olficials said the president acted
after considering national defense
needs and the effect of the added
extension upon the general hous
ing situation and the national
economy.
