Elks Slate
Malin Picnic
The Elks picnic Is slated for next
Sunday at Malin park, according
to lodge authorities, and a capacity
turnout is expected for the annual
event.
Co-chairmen Bob Drsgoo and
Bob Walker have planned for an
early afternoon opening, with food
to be served at 1:30 p. m., DST.
Three beeves have been purchased
for the big barbecue. Those attend
ing are asked to bring their own
silverware. Admission will be by
membership card only.
The swimming pool will be
available for those wishing It, and
Softball and other gamea are on
the program.
Court Hearings
Said Postponed
District Court bearings sched
uled for today for two persons ac
cused of strongarm robbery were
postponed until Monday morning.
The two are Ima Sue Callahan,
19, and Ernest Stanley Cayhart,
37, who are held In the County Jail
on charges of robbery by force and
violence.
They are alleged to have taken
S20 from a man named Paul E.
Knauss last Saturday night at his
bouse. Both requested preliminary
hearings, which were set for this
morning. However, since D. E.
Van Vector Is Just taking over the
Judgeship of the District Court to
day, he postponed the hearings
until Monday,
