Two Accused
Of Robbery
Two persons are scheduled for
preliminary hearings In District
Court tomorrow morning on
charges of strongarm robbery.
They are Iina Hue Mitchell Cal
lahan, 10-year-old mother of two,
and Ernent Blnnlry Uayhart, i!7,
Both are charged with rubliery by
lores and violence and were ar
rested Tuesday.
Mrs, Callahan. Oayhart and an
other man unidentified mid as
yet not apprehended are accused
of stesllng about 120 from a man
nsmed Paul E. Krauss after drink
ing with him al his house last
Baturday night.
Krauss swore out warrants for
the trio Tuesday, uayhart was ar
rested al the Ascot Hotel, where no
had a room, and Mrs. Callahan
at Dili N. llth, where she lives,

Attorney Ben Goddard repre
sented Mrs. Callahan at her ar
raignment In District Court yester

A charge of non-support, filed by
Mrs. Bhlrlry Jackson of Bonanza
and to which her husband. Virgil
Durant Jackson had pleaded guilty,
was dismissed yesterday afternoon
by Circuit Judge David R. Van-denberg.
Juckson, an Indian, pleaded guilty
Tuesday, but aald In court he had
given his wlie some money only a
lew days ago and that, In the first
place, sho had left him after only
three weeks ol marilugo.
He said he happened lo be In
town nrenarlng to start a divorce
proceeding when he was arrested
on the non-iuoport count.
After hearing Jackson's explane-
lion. Judge Vandenbcrg ordered
Mrs. Jackson, a white girl, brought
to court yesterday afternoon to ex
plain her side of the story. Upon
hesrlng that she had received a
sum of money from her husband
lust a short time before charging
him with non-support, the Judge
lumed down Jackson's guilty pica
and dismissed the charge.
Jackson has been working In the
woods near Prospect.
