Women's Club At
Langell Valley
Langell Valley Womens' Club
met at the parish hall on July 17,
with Mrs. Wilfred Noble and Mrs.
Ray Davis hostesses. The business
meeting was called to order by
president Mrs. Reita Morris. A
dance was planned for July 19, and
one tor August 18.
Grace Dearborn, Odessa Noble
and Nettle Davis were appointed
on the committee tor July and
Billie Colwell. Mildred Cunning
ham and Dorothy Fleseher for the
August dance.
The club voted not to hold meet
ings next year during the months
of Julv and August.
Following the meeting, cards and
canasta wore enjoyed, with Dor
othy Fleseher winning the high for
canasta, Esther Kcysor 'for pi
nochle and Cora Leavitt for bridge.
The hostessc served refreshments
after the meeting.

event held In the C.I. clubhouse on
Saturday evening, July It, when

centered with an arrangement of
columbine blooms and tills for the
mother-to-be all decorations and ap
pointments carrying out the pre.

Canasta and Bingo provided di
version for the guests until a late
hour, when prizes were awarded to
Mrs. Ivan Doak of Chlloquin for
high score at Canasta, and to Mra.
Blaine Brattam. Fort Klamath, for
top honors at Bingo. A guest prize
was given to Mrs. Harold L. Wtmer.
Included as part of the refresh
ments served at the close of play
was a large white cake approp
riately decorated with pink rose
buds and miniature white baby
shoes in keeping with the theme of
the layette shower.
Highlight of the evening was the
opening of her gifts by Mrs. Jen
kins, who was assisted by her
mother, Mrs. J. Quincy Buell. This
climaxed a delightful evening and
