SOME PRISONER ARTIST held in Camp No. 3, North Korea
added color to this Easter card tent by Johnny Martin to his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Martin, Tulelale. Johnny was cap
tured in November 1950. The card, mailed March 12 reached
Tulolake last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Martin also had a card
early in the Spring mailed at Christmas time. A bit of poetry
was written on the inside.
SINDAE
l'i cups milk
1 package strawberry frees-
ina; mix
1 cup pineapple, crushed
'j cup strawberries
Beat freezing mix into milk with
rotary beater until dissolved. Pour
into freezing tray. When frown
r.'m, itfliove from tray to bowl.
Break up with fork. Beat with elec
tric or hand beater until fluffy.
Continue freezing. When ready to
4-H'ers Attend
Summer Camp
More than 100 Klamath County
boys and girls are attending the
annual 4-H camp at Crescent Late
this month. The counselors, who
received training earlier in the
summer, are instructing the group
in crafts, nature, swimming and
team sports.

RASPBERRY PINEAPPLE
SHERBET
1 cup milk
2 cup pineapple juice
ii cup water
1 package raspberry sherbet
mix
Measure milk, w ater, and pine-!
apple Juice into a bowl. Add sher-;
bet mix. Brat with rotary beater
Pour mixture Into refrigerator tray
and place in freezing compart- j
ment When mixture is firmly froj-!
en. remove from tray to bowl.
Break up into large lumps with
fork. Beat with rotary beater until
free from lumps but still a thick
mush. Return to refrigerator tray !

Broil the meat and fruit together.
Instead of making fancy frost
ings for cakes during hot weather
weuse this simple trick. Bake your
favorite chocolate cake in an 8 or
9-inch square pan. Spread the top
of the warm cake with !, cup soft
butter or margarine blended with
2 cup brown sugar, 1-3 cup chop
walnuts and 3 tablespoons cream.
Place about 3 inches under the
broiler until mixture browns.
