Aeronautics Board to maintain
equal air i freight rates between
Alaskan and Pacifio Northwest
points.
A delegation of Seattle business
men was expected to testify at
Tuesday's session of the CAB hear
ing here on rates. The Seattle
group was to ask that air freight
rates between Seattle and Alaska
be lowered. .
Among those urging that the pre
sent rate setup be continued were
Del Bailey, Anchorage, and Byron
Gillam, Fairbanks. Alaska Gov.
Ernest Gruening, in a letter, also
urged continuation of p r e s e n
rates.

Libby now 73 years old was
largely responsible for picking the
routes of most of the state's mod

locating engineer in 1919 after
serving as Lane County, surveyor
and in the Navy.
Libby did his second hitch In
