permission to sell Canadian gas
In Washington, Oregon and other
Northwest states were recessed In
definitely Monday.
The action was taken by Power
Commission examiner Glenn Law
after hearing lawyers battle more
than three hours over proposals
by Pacific Northwest interests to
tap Canada'a natural gas reserves.
The commission during the re
cess will consider a motion by
Alvin Kurtz, the commission's staff
counsel, to throw out all the ap
plications because he says Canada
has not authorized any of the com
panies to export gas.
