Post 4056 Meets
MERRILL A regular meeting of
the VFW Auxiliary to post 4056,
was held June 19. Routine business
was discussed, and a report made
on the fried chicken dinner, served
by the auxiliary last Saturday eve
ning. Approximately 238 .people
were served and a nice profit
was derived for the organization.
During the evening covers were
made for the chairs In the VFW
hall.
Hostesses for the meeting were
Joan Trotman and Mary Catherine
Walker and they served refresli
ments to Katy Merrllees, Bessie
Duncan, Mary Lou Swisher, Anna

Class Reunion
At Ro.y Giengers
CHILOQUIN In Medford many
years ago Myrtella Canady, now of
Roseburg. taught a class ol high
school girls at the Methodist church
school. As the girls completed
their study they decided to have
an annual reunion, a custom they
still follow. Mrs. Roy Glenger, a
member of that class, and her
husband were hosts last weekend
to other class members and their
husbands.
The group arrived on Saturday
afternoon. That evening they were
served dinner by a daughter and
son-in-law of the Giengers, Mr. and
Mrs. Glen Kircher, the Gienger s
son. Leroy Glenger and his fiancee.
Nina Buck. Later In the evening
they were shown pictures, both
still and movies, of past reunions
and of a Canadian hunting trip
taken by the Giengers.
Sunday the , group attended
church, the men visited the
Giengers' Reservation ranch, and
a picnic was served on the patio
before the visitors left for the
Rogue River valley.
Attending the reunion were Mr.
