cut down their fresh offerings Just
enough Wednesday to compensate
for the unsold holdover of the pre
vious session.
Trading turned fairly active, con
sequently, and prices generally
moved steady to 25 cents higher.
Cattle offerings were reduced
drastically to the smallest Wednes
day numbers in two months. The
market jumped as much as 11.00
and vealers also were 81.00 higher.
Sheep held to a generally steady
tone.
Steers and heifers had the best
of the cattle trading upswing, the
general market ranging from
steady to 01.00 higher.
Most choice and prime steers and
yearlings were 831.00 to $35.00. four
loads stepping up to 835.25 to 836.00.
Choice and low-prime heifers made
831.00 to 834.00, one prime load
getting 834.50. Cows stopped again
at 822.50 and bulls at 827.00. while
vealers went as high as 833.00.

Juve Escapees
Recaptured
Two boys, aged 14 and 10, who
escaped from the local Juvenile
home Tuesduy were tuken o(f a
northbound freight at Crescent
Lake early this morning. State Po
lice report.
The boys are being returned to
Klamath Falls by Juvenile Officer
Francis Mathews. They removed
a window to get out of the home.
The older boy , being held
for stealing a car off a S. 6th used
car lot.
