Some 160 guests called between 3 and 5 o'clock. They
were greeted at the door, by Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. C. B.
Larfcin and Beverly Eel,ls. Beverly is the, recipient of the
annual AAUW award given each year to an outstanding
senior girl in Klamath County.
Mrs. Aaron Hoffman. Miss Orpha Hudson, Mrs. Ralph"
Stearns and Mrs. Frank Jenkins served the guests at the
tea table. v ' , ' "
Mrs. Clarence A. Humble and Mrs. J. B. Bishop were co-
chairmen and were assisted by Mrs. George Clark, Mrs. E. D.
Hicliman, Mrs. Robert Smith, Mrs. Eric Majors and Mni.

' Harriet Mueller, accompanied by Ann Henderson sang
and Mrs. Richard Graef played background music at the
. piano, during the afternoon.

Wednesday club of St. Paul's
Church met Wednesday evening to
the parish hall for the last meet
ing. The club will resume activi
ties In September,

lor Mrs. Ernest Howell who will
be leaving soon to make her home

the club with a history of So
journers. Bridge and pinochle were played
after the business meeting; high in
bridge, won by Mrs. Archie James,
and high In pinochle, Mrs. J. G.
Miller.
Hostesses for the day were Mrs.
C. E. Chase and Mrs. A. L. Tread
Way. "
Quests were Mildred Dobson and
Kathleen O'Brien.

ated patio, some visited the family
museum of Indian artifacts, hunt
ing trophies and family history.
Dessert was served inside the
house and was followed by an
afternoon of games.
Placing high for bridge was Mrs.
William Page of Fort Klamath,
high in pinochle was Mrs. J. Q
Bell, also of Fort Klamath and
Mrs. Gerry Wollf in table games.
A gift which was shown by the
hostesses will be given at a later
date to the guest who came the
closest In guessing the exact ar
rival of the Hengl baby.
At the close of the Darty Mrs.
Hengl was assisted by her mother,
Mrs. Ruby Peeler and a friend,

Garden Club was held May 26, at

large poppy, entered by J. Frank
Adams won first prize among the
displays at the West home. Others
