Stover, 17, were trolling in Lake
Sammamish for cutthroat, . using
spoons (Canadian Wonder).
Having no luck, the two Mercer
Island youths pulled into a dock
at Rosemont Beach on the west
shore of the lake. More for prac
tice than anything else, they began
casting their sdoods out into the
lake.
Rod got a snarl in his line and
dropped his spoon Into the water
while he untangled it. Wham!
Another four-pound bass hit his
lure.
Rod found himself with a light
pole in each hand struggling with
eight pounds of fish. Fred returned
with the net and together they
landed both.
