WOUNDED BY RUSSIAN JETS. Walter Kurth ot Ham
burg, wounded in attack by Russian jet planes over Ger
many, is put aboard an ambulance at Templehof Airport
in Berlin. The Russian fighter planes attacked, without
warning, an Air France passenger liner flying along an
authorized corridor over the Russian zone on a flight to
Berlin. Two passengers were wounded by the 22 bullets
and cannon fire that struck the French plane.

to get tbe "ton-miles per gallon" figure. The Sweepstakes winner is
that ear which delivered the highest ton-miles per gallon of all
participants in all classes.
