Insurance Rate
Boost Sought
NEW YORK W The nation's
casualty insurance companies will
seek a "substantial increase" In
automobile liability and property
damage rates this year but they
have not yet decided how large the
increase will be. a ton industry
spokesman said Wednesday.
Queried about estimates that a
20 per cent increase nationwide is
in the offing, he said the figure
s "just picked out of the air."
We're still in the process of de
veloping all the necessary data,"
he declared.
