Air Medal for sustained aerial
operations in Korea, according, to

Sgt. Lane is flight engineer in

Since re-enlisting in the Air
Force In 1947 Lane has been

Japan. He received a presidential
citation for his part in flying tho

he has five other medals earned

Avenue to Pacific Terr scat and de

taken In connection therewith: said pro
tect to be known aa Improvement Unit
No. 117.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, pur.
sijant to a resolution of the Common
Council heretofore adopted, having
filed plans, specifications and ettfmetei
for the cost of Improving, Lowell Street
from Eldorado Avenue :n Pacific Ter
race; and the Council finding the said
Rlans, specifications and estimate sat
factory for taid project, which shall
he known as IMPROVEMENT UNIT
NO. 117;
Therefore, be It resolved by the Com
mon Council of the City of Klamath
Fail. Oregon, dulv assembled in regu
lar session, aa follows:
Section I.
That said plans, spectficatlons and es
timates or the Improvement of laid
portions of said street, heretofore filed
by the City Engineer, be and the

That the Common Council of the City
of Klamath Falls. Oregon hereby de.
ciares its intention to improve aia por
tions of said street In accordance with

and gutter. The aforementioned pave
ment is to be laid from the new gut
ter to the existing pavement. The ex

ment and curbs will be 32 feet.

ner of lot 14, Block 8. Hillside Addi
tion to the City of Klamath Falls. Ore
gon, thence northerly along the easter
ly line oi Eldorado Ave., to tne most
westerly corner of Lot 8 In Block 9
of said Addition, thence northeasterly
along the northerly line of said Lot 8
lo it intersection with the east line af
said Lot 8. thence northerly to the most
northwesterly corner of Lot 8, Block 5
of said Addition, thence easterly along
the south line of VanNes Ave. to the
southwesterly line of Pacific Terrace,
thence southeasterly alone tne south

southeast corner of Lot 3. Block 8 in
said Addition thence southwesterly

at the Council Chamber of the City
Hall tn Klamath Falls. Oregon, be fixed
as the time and place for bearing of
objections and remonstrances against
said proposed Improvement-
Section IV.
That the Police Judee be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to cause
notice of such hearing to be published
as provided by the City Charter of said
City and shall publish this resolution
as provided by law. and within five
days after the first publication thereof
the City Engineer shall cause ' to be
conspicuously posted at each end of
tne une or contemplated improvement
