2 cups sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
' i cup shortening
1 . cup grated Cheddar cheese
In 3 cup milk
Butler
5 hard-cooked eigs, diced
cup chopped cooked spinach
', Up. salt
Slit flour, baking powder and
salt. Cut In shortening. Add cheese.
Add milk to make a soft dough.
Turn out on lightly floured board
and knead i:nlly 'i minute. Roll
;out two-thirds of dough Inti rec
itangle 8x13 Inches ' and " Inch
thick. Spread with butter. Combine
eggs, soinach, salt end sash of pep
per Suread evenly over dough.
Roll like jelly roll and place In
creased loaf pan 8xi inches. Bake
In hot oven 400 F.. 25 to 30 min
utes. Roll out remaining dough
Inch thick. Cut Into 5 Inch strips
l Inch wldet Twist. Bake on tin
sreased baking sheet In over 4(H)
F , 10 to 1.1 minutes. Serve with
Mushroom Bauce: Thin one can
mushroom soup with milk to de

3 eggs

eggs and add milk. Add to flour

Add butter and beat 3 minutes. Fill
greased mullln cuds or Donover

degrees F., 30 lo 3o minutes. While
hot. break puffs open and fill with
Ham and Asparagus filling.

1 , cup liquid from asparagus
2 cups cooked (or caned
asparagus
l'i rups cooked cubed ham
Melt butter In top of double boil
er. Stir in flour, salt and paprika
Oradually add milk and vegetable
liquid, stirring constantly ' until
thickened. Fold In asparagus and
ham. Cover and cook slowly until
all Ingredients are thoroughly heal
