lien for more than a million dollars
against Ruth Burnett, a naturopath '
who Is under grand Jury Indictment
on a churge of manslaughter by
abortion.
At the same time It filed a H06,
fW4 Hen against Beatrice Cook of ,
the same downtown office building j
address, 801 Broadway Building.
The lien against Dr. Burnett
brought under her married name I
ol Ruth Burnett Bush lists these
sums in additional, Income taxes ,
aounlit:
M40.541 for -1645; $315,140 for
HMO; and (507,603 tor 1947.
'Hie filing says these are ad
ditional' sums owed. It does not
say how much was paid for those
years".
The Beatrice Cook listing Is:

1040; and $8,983 lor 1947.
Although her address was listed
as the same as that for Or. Barnett,
the Internal Revenue Office report- i
ed she was believed to be living at '
Jennings Lodge,, and to have had
no connection In recent years with
the Broadway Building address.
