unit held a food sale on Saturday.
December 8, for the benefit of the
Bonanza Big Springs park. Fifteen
dollars wai cleared on the sale.
A huge tree adorns the main
street ot Bonanza, beautiful with
colored lights and tinsel.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gift were'
called to Eureka Thursday. Decern
ber 6, by the serious Illness of his
mother. Mrs. Anna Gilt.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wimer
stopped overnight Monday wiu
Mrs. Jack Weimer and Skipper.
They were on the r way to Kansas
to spend Christmas with her moth
er and other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jones were
Sundav dinner guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Rav Jones and Steve of Klam
ath Falls, celebrating the birthday
of Mrs. Lester Jones. Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Merchant and family:
were also guests.
Ivan Welch has returned home
after several months at the veter
ans' hospital In Portland. He is
very much improved in health but
will have to return soon for more
treatment.. He and Mrs. Welch want
to thank all the friends and neigh
bors who were so kind iti so many
ways during his long illness.
Rev. and Mrs. C. L. Bornaman
spent last weekend at Bend where
they attended a convention of the
Nazarene church for ministers and
their wives.
A -large crowd braved the cold

The choir girls and boys of St.
Barnabas church met at the home
of Vernon Haley on Wednesday
evening. After the practice the
young people enjoyed an evening
of games followed by refreshments.
About fifteen, were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burnett spent
Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs.
Dick Botens.
Mrs. John Horn and Jackie have
moved into their new home, the
former Fred Hitson place.

They were here two weeks hoping
to coincide with a visit from the
stork to the Doaks, but the bird
S roved coy. On Sunday afternoon
