"Walkln- and Whlstlln' the Blues."
This song title Ills a situation pe
culiar to many of us today, which
is report card day. Honor roll re
sults were complied this afternoon
after classes with Miss Orpha
Hudson and will be published to
morrow.
This week, as the first week of
the second nine-wee term, we will
beatn our classes and studies with
a clean slate and begin working
for our next term s grades.
A good grade average is import
ant to everyone. In fact, many
clubs require a certain grade aver-
age in order to maintain member
ship. A student body meeting is on the
agenda . for tomorrow's activity
period. The students will have a
chance at that time to nominate
prospective candidates, for first
vice-prtsldent from ttwr floor!
Nomination blanks must be se
cured from the office before the
meeting and be signed by the nomi
nee and the one who nominates
him. This regulation relieves con
fusion during the meetings and no
candidates are nominated unless
they wish to run for the office,
thus reducing the number of those
who decline.
The school Is sponsoring and
sending the pep peppers and
marching band to the Bend game,
as they are marching for the half
time show. They will probably go
on a school bus. The girls are
asked to sign up Immediately with
Miss Bailie, pep pepper advisor.
Working on drills and formations
for the game, which will be Mon
day afternoon at Bend, the band
and pep peppers have practiced
everyday this week.
The band will do a series of pre-
