pany yesterday submitted the low
bit of $3,236,030 for three power
generators for Lookout Point dam
in the Willamette valley project
But the firm, English Electric Co.
of Stafford, may not get the con
tract. The corps of engineers re
ported that the British firm said
it would not be able to complete
installation of the generators until
nine months after the specified
completion date, November 1, 1954.
The next lowest bid, submitted bv
the General Electric Co.'s Portland
office, was $66,733 higher. But GE
would be able to meet the com
pletion date.
