Aloha Chapter
Tuesday evening was "obligation
eight" at the regular meeting of
Aloha chapter No. -61. Order of the
Eastern Star, held In the Masonic
temple. Klamath avenue. This if
the one nigbt in the chapter yeai
when members form a circle
around the alter and repeat the
obligation they took when joining
the order. Worthy Patron Alva
Oldham led in this ceremony.
Jobs Daughters ot the Klamath
Falls Bethel, which is sponsored
by Aloha chapter, entertained with
three vocal numbers presented by
their choir of thirty voices under
the direction of Mrs. Jack Elliott,
with Jean Adams at the piano. The
numbers included "Through the
Years," "The Anniversary Walts,"
and "Nearer My God to Thee."
The girls were in costume, making
beautiful picture of youth and
beauty as well as giving evidence
of painstaking training in harmony
and musical expression.

Mrs. Guy Williams, member of

current project of the chapter.
Monday's meeting waa concerned
with that part of the "Book" dwell
ing upon ''the art ot dress and it's
history" and the "art of jewelry
and it's history." Mrs. Keith Moon
amplified thts with a talk on "the
art of selecting and wearing cos
tume Jewelry" with the proper at
tire represented oy various cos
tumes from the Town Shop worn
by Thelma Bell, Helen Perry, Pat
Mueller, Alice Dale Peterson and
herself. From basic to dressy after
noon, accessories, gloves, bags and
scarves were anown as a oaca
ground to the properly elected cos
tume Jewelry.
Mrs. Moon spoke on the influ
ences exerted bv different periods
on our dress today, and with ref
erence to the Importance of proper
selection of costume Jewelry she
showed conies of famous lewel
pieces in history: among them.

ess" and "immortals of the
Orient"

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Schmoe and
daughters Karen. Vlrgle and Louise
recently made a trip to Qulncy,
Wash., to visit his sister and fam
ily, the Allen Naves, and on up to
Grand Coulee dam. Returning they
went to Camas to visit a brother,
Paul Schmoe. The Paul Schmoe's
accompanied them to Ashland to
visit their father, E. B. Schmoe,
and sisters Mrs. Elsie Johnson and
Mary Blagle.

daughter Roxie Ann, were able to
return home October 2 from Klam
ath Valley hospital. -

that Harry Kolb, former resident

pneumonia.
