chickens who were kept warm as chicks last spring by this home
made electric brooder. The builder, Johnny Williams of Fayette.
Ala, lifts the lid of the brooder to show how H was made from an
electric hotplate and an old lard can. The brooder is one of many
such ingenious devices perfected by the lft-year-old farm boy.

on the eight-place tribal business
committee in balloting yesterday on
the Klamath Indian reservation.
For ihe past year the business
committee has been disrupted be
cause of an even split between In
dians who seek liquidation of the
reservation and those who oppose.
But for the next year the anti
liquidationists will have a majority.
