Annual KUHS
Yule Concert
Being Readied
The art. music, drama and man
ual arta department of Klamath
Union high school have been work
ing tor three weeks in preparation
tor tht annual Chrtstmaa concert,
presented aa tft to the commu
nity by the school.
Th production this year will, in
some respects, be patterned after
last year ahow. Mrs. Mleletta
Patterson and Mr. B. B. Worn,
qutat are responsible tor the chore
ography and have been training
the dancers and the pentomlmista
tor the past several weeks. That
part of last year program, which
contained Tschlakowsky "Nut
cracker Suite" will be repeated
with new stag settings, costumes
and dances.
Art classes, under the supervision
of Mr. Banister, will design and
paint stage sets and these seta will
be built by the stage crew under
the direction of Francis 8capple.
The a cappella choir and full
orchestra of ii pieces will be a part
of the presentation, with orchestra
directed by Mr. Brewer.
Dates for the Christmas show
are December 21 and M. with a
matinee for the high school stu
dents on December 21.

John Beckmon Dies
In Portland
PORTLAND. Nov. 29 (.TwJohn J.
Beckman. . a former state rep
resentative from Multnomah coun
ty, died here yesterday after a
month's illness. An attorney, he was
elected as a democratic member of
the lower house In 1932.
He had long been active in demo
cratic party affairs and was Mult
nomah county democratic chairman
from 1934 to 1940.
