week on October 35 the first meeting
1 of the year wa held in the Scout
j cabin to install the officer, with a
. past-chairman of the Bly unit. Mrs.
Dave Campbell, taking charge of
i the ceremonies. Then Mrs. Bates
and Mrs. Case brer ot the Bly unit
gave the demonstration for the first
project of the year which was mak
ing Christmas wreaths and decora
tions. A noon lunch was served and
in the afternoon the ladles held their
business meeting and then made
th; Christmas things demonstrated
to them, using local greens. Mrs.
Frank Obenchaln Sr. of the Bly
unit also attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Boo Schlotfeldt en
tertained at dinner on October 18.

On October 37 the Dixie club held
their party in the afternoon at the
Chandler home with Mrs. Inex
Chandler a hostess. A game ot
"Pit" was. enjoyed following the
luncheon with Pearl Henderson and
Dorothy Fairfield coming out on top.

Cal Fugate of Camp 4 and his
little son "Corkie" were overnight
guest at the Hank Napier home
last week.
A community Halloween party
was held Friday. October 28 in the
Scout cabin. Serving on the com
mittee in charge of the arrange
ment were Eileen Brown. Mabel
Rogers. Margaret Brown, and Doro
thy Fairfield. A contest among the
children for the best costume re
sulted in Leverl Henderson winning
first for his get-up aa Mortimer
Snerd, and Joe Leatherwood second
for his "Mae West." Oertrude Good
helped with the game for the
youngsters in which every child won
a prize. The older children and
adult played Bingo the rest of the
evening for prizes consisting mostly
of home made candy and canned
goods. There were Halloween treats
and cider for all the children and
coffee and doughnut for the grown
ups. The whole camp is happy over the
fact that lumber ha been obtained
for remodeling the Scout cabin to
make It a better place for com
munity affair. The men of the
camp will donate the labor, and
the cabin will be used for home
extension meetings, card parties.

moved recently to Sprague River
where Wright Is employed at Camp

The Sam James family made a
recent trip to Ashland and Medford
over Saturday an Sunday.
Barbara Campbell ot Bly was an
overnight guest ot Georgia Thom
son last week. Georgia returned the
visit October 31 and attended a Hal
oween party at Campbell.

val October 39.
The second home extension meet
ing of the year was held Mondav,
October 31 at the Scout cabin. Mary
Glenn of Klamath Falls, the county
chairman, led this meeting with a
demonstration of blouse-making. A
hot noon lunch was served.
