a birthday dinner In honor of her
daughter-in-law. Mra. Jena Roberta.

Mr. and Mra. Roy Roberts; the
Misses Dola. Flora and Nlta Mor
ris. Mr. .and Mrs. Walt Roberts and
the honored guest and her husband,

Mothers Club
'The Union Mothers club will give
an old time fun party that will be
followed by a basket social at mid
night. Games will be played and all
ladles are asked to bring a basket
for aupper. The party wlU be at
the union school house on Friday.

the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oeorge

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Toney made a
trip to Klmath Falls on Monday.

Back To Bly
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hitchcock,
who have been cooking for the
Goose Lake camp, quit their Jobs
and have returned to their home In
Bly, Ore. New cooks have already
been hired.
The logging trucks have again re
sumed work following a week of
rainy weather.
Mrs. Marlon Boehm of the S. J.
Ranch, visited with Mrs. Mildred
Redlfer. Tuesday afternoon at the
Ooose Lake logging camp.
Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Mulkey are
the parents of a new baby girl born
at the Lakeview hospital Sunday af
ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Fwing are
visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs.
Oeorge Ashcrait. Mrs. Ewing was
formerly, Elouise Ashcrait.

purpose of electing new officers.

the advertising committee.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Woods and
children of Medford. were visiting
and hunting a few days at the home
of his aunt, Mrs. Marvin Pardue
and family.
Dance
There will be a gingham and over
all dance held at the Westside
grange hall. October 22. Prises will
be given for the most foolishly
dressed men and woman.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sundet and Bil
ly, returned Friday by way of Yel
lowstone national park, after an
extended trip to North Dakota,
where they visited relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Toney made a
trip to SusanviUe. Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hassans have
purchased the Jack Thompson place
where they plan to move soon.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Blackburn and
children of Vale, Ore. have been
visiting relatives on the westside
and vicinity for several days. Mrs.
Blackburn was the former Delia Al
bertson. and has many friends
here. They left for Vale, Monday
morning.

Mrs. Earl La Branch visited Fri
day afternoon with Mrs. Dee Chand
ler. Visitors at the Varjala home were
Mr. and Mrs. John Maleska from
Klamath Falls. His wife is visiting
for a week with the Karjalas at
the Goose Lake logging camp.
Mrs. Clara Moore Is visiting at
the home of her daughter. Mrs.
Frank Raymond. Two other daugh
ters brought Mrs. Moore up to the
