Sept. 21 WV-An abandoned Tillage
with human bone strewn around
has been found deep In the ever
glades. Three men from nearby Davie
Hully Stirling. William Hill and L.
P. Harvey made their way to the
ghost Tillage and brought back a
report of their find, the Fort Laud
erdale Daily New said.
The Village, located on high
hammock, once contained about a
dozen buildings. Including a sugar
mill, the men reported.
Bones of humans snd animals,
broken canoe. b'ls of pottery, cop
per caldrons, snd "every conceiv
able kind of debris wss scattered
among the rotting buildings, they
added.
All the building were of cypress,
held together with hand-wrought
nails of copper snd bronze.
Stirling, a war-time pilot, first
sighted the Tillage from' the sir.
