Mr. and Mrs. Forest Brelthaupt of Klamath Falls visited over the week-end with his sister and hus band. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stover. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Samples and family of Lakeview visited Sunday with the Gordon Fridays. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pazton had relatives, Mr. aned Mrs. Francis Pazton. visiting them last week. Those enjoying a family reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bunyard of Lake City September 11, were the following: Mr. and Mrs. Francis Mulkey and children, Mr. and Mrs. Merle O'Neill and chil dren, and Harold Hardisty of West aide. Dorothy Carlton of Willow Ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Bun yard of Alturas. Calif, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bunyard and Michael of Cedarvllle. Calif, and Mrs. Pearl 6mlth of Boise, Ida. After dinner, they left for Cedarvllle to attend the, fair and rodeo. Mr. and Mrs- Barry Crowl had as dinner guesta Monday evening Mr. and Mr. Carl Peay and chil dren. Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Beeny of Klamath Falls visited with Charlie Roberta Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dameron end children left Friday afternoon for Cedarvllle where they visited with relative and saw the fair and rodeo. George Womac of Paisley Is vis iting her daughter, Mrs. Ryer Vin cent. Mrs. Pearl Smith of Boise, Ida, arrived Saturday for a week's visit with relative. She Is with her daughter, Eileen O'Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Albertson left Tuesday for Klamath Falls where Mrs. Alberuon will accompany Vel ma Swaru to Ashland for an ex tended visit. Quite a number of Westeiders at tended the fair and rodeo at Cedar vUle over the week-end. Dean Chris tiansen drove the bus over with the Lakeview 4-H drum and bugle corps. The corps played in the pa rade. The parade was an Interesting sight. Many floats were shown. Lakeview took second and was awarded a beautiful cup. Joe Mar tin and Wes Anderson rode in the Lakeview roping team which vied with the Cedarvllle roping club in the potato race. Bud Travis took second money In bronc riding Saturday. Among oth ers attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. Les Pardue and children, Dola Morris, the Charlie Damerons, Francis Mulkey and family, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Longfellow, the Rex Griffiths, Mr. and Mrs. Mac Bolton, Harold Hardisty, Joe Martin and Wes Anderson. The Home Economics club met at the home of Mrs. Myrna Neasham September 8. Six were present and enjoyed refreshments. The next meeting will be held September 22 at the home of Mrs. Shirley Nea sham. The state graiise conference will meet with the Westside grange Fri day, September 23 at 1 oclock. All granges are welcome, and all mem bers are urged to attend. There will be a potluck supper in the evening. Visiting the Merle O'Neills on Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cleland of Adel and Mrs. George Fitzgerald of Lakeview. J. Har ris home were Mr. and Mrs. Herb Clochin of San Francisco, and John Clochin from Nebraska. Mrs. Tommy Cole spent two weeks in San Francisco recently. Tommy has been working there, and Mrs. Cole and children will join him soon. City Marshall Wally Moss is ask ing all children riding bicycles to observe all traffic and safety rules. They are also asked to refrain from riding on the sidewalks. The Presbyterian church Sunday school enjoyed a picnic at the Ma tin park Sunday September 4 Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Josie Turner on the recent death of her mother In Stevens, Minne sota. Mrs. John Giacomint and son An thony, left Sunday for Portland, where Anthony will enter the Uni versity of Portland. He will take a liberal arts course. Mrs. Giacomini plans to remain in Portland while Anthony is attending school. Aid en Lewia of Eugene spent a week-end visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lewis. Mr. and Mrs Don Harris, daugh ter Nancy and Gene Mitchell, spent a week-end visiting Lassen National park. Theta Rho girls club sponsored a square dancing party at the Odd fellows hall Friday evening. A large number of boys and girls attended. Helping with the party were Mr. and Mrs. Milton Loper. Mrs. Roy Beaaley. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Has kins, Mrs. E. Lemler. Mrs Lawr ence Geraghty, Mrs. Eber Kilpat rick, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Man nock. Mr. and Mrs. John 0NeiL Tom my and Johnny, went to Cedar- ville for the rodeo and county fair held there last week-end Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Chase were called to Albany. Oregon, by the death of Mrs. Chases' brother Bud Dickey, who was well-known in Merrill and Klamath Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wood and Mrs. Joe Egg. all of Bend, were visitors at the J. W. Reeder home recently. The volunteer fire department was called out Tuesday to the Ber nace Wilson ranch when a car. be longing to Wilson's father, caught fire and set a nearby hillside blaz ing. Both were extinguished before too much damage was done Mr. and Mrs. Dan Geaney, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Reeder. Mr. and Mrs. John Baley, and Wilbur Nine attended a meeting of the Legion of the Moose in Medford, Septem ber 11. Work Is progressing on the Instal lation of playground equipment In the recreation park. The swing and jungle climber have been set up. and concrete footings will be poured this week. A teeter-totter, merry-go-round, and slides will be the next pieces of equipment Installed Arthur Snapp from Oklahoma City. Is visiting his brothers in Mer rill. A reception for Henley teachers will be held Friday night, Septem ber 23. with a potluck dinner for teachers and parents to be served in the cafeteria at 7 p m. All parents are urged to come and get acquainted with the teach ers. There will also be a program. Raymonds Camp The school house has been suc cessfully moved from Kirk and the 13 students ranging from the first to the seventh grade have started to school. Betty Adams Is spending a few days in camp before returning to Oregon State college. She is the sis ter of W. M.. J. L. and R. A. Adams of Raymonds camp. Mrs. Evelyn Spencer waa In camp for a few days but returned i to California where she now lives.' Miss Beryl Slagle of Vancouver, Wash, spent a few days with her j cousin and family, the W. M. Adams. A surprise party was given In honor of newlyweds. Mr. and Mrs. Ray W. Kold. recently, to wish them good luck. The temperature fell to a chilly 14 above this week in Raymonds Camp.
