of conflicting stories told by Benson.
Originally, Benson told of the two
men being out of Oretron within :
hours after toinf over the prison
wall May 30 as a f uard shot at
them. This was when he was ar
rested here following a suicide at
tempt. Then Saturday. Benson said
Pinson had died of Infection from
two wounds and that he had burled j
the convicted police slayer near 1
Salem.

lave Pinson cocaine several days be
fore he died and at one time pulled
piece of bullet-shattered rib out
of Plnson'a body with my fingers."
Hoffman aald: "Until Pinion's
body Is found, we must assume he Is
si ill alive and aware that Benson
la talking."
Oregon prison guards are expected
here later this week to return Ben
son to the Salem prison. He had
been convicted of armed robbery
and was serving a five year sentence
when he escaped.

Ollmore sign service for Johnny's
Motel, owned by Johnny Cordaea
and located at 2006 Biehn.
It It being erected on a hill lust
south of the Junction and will be
visible lor several miles up the

The sign Is SO feet long. IS feet
high and wtU contain ViOt feet of
neon tubing. The lettering Is six
feet high and outlined with a double
lube ol red neon. A single green
flourescent tube between the red
borders will flash on and off.

long In red tubing. The sign will
be operated automatically by a

Young Frenchman
Revisits KF
Raymond Vereecke. M-year-old
Frenchman who made his debut In
Klamath Palls nearly three years
ago when he arrived to study under
sponsorship of Dr. P. Cecil Adams,
stopped for a tew days here this
week.
Vereecke, a student at Washing
ton Bute college In Pullman, visited
the Adams family on his way north
from California.
He ha spent several weeks lectur
ing ta Southern California, and
seeing the country via the hitch
hiking route. Vereecke la studying
horticulture and fruit production
and lives In the president s house
on the WSC campus.
Vereecke met Dr. Adams at an
International Boy 8cout encamp
ment In Paris, and the doctor ar
ranged for him to come here as an
exchange student. He will resume
classes at WSC next week.
