IC PLANS ARE BEING MADE (or the annual Amer
ican Association of University Women's silver tea
which will be held September 24 ot the home of Mrs.
C. A. Humble. Tea hours will be from 2 to 5. Noting
the arrangements ore, from left to right, Mrs. Chorlcs
Lorkin, chairman of the tea, Mrs. C. A. Humble, and
Orpha Hudson, president of the AAUW. Proceeds
from the tco will go towards the AAUW fellowship
which is given annually to a woman college graduate
for further graduate study.

Slated For Monday

club on Mondajr. September II, at 100. and will Include a program
of music and entertainment.

at permanent chairmen who will ba doing advance work on tha lunch
on. Tha calling commute headed by Mr. Arthur Compton will
constat of Mra. Calvin Laimb. Mra. Phillip I. Mra. Richard Heaaig,
Mra. John Van Doren, Mra. Raymond Tlce. Mra. Ivan Thompson. Mra.
Charlaa Ollbert. Mra. Odell OUon. Mra. T. K. Lund. Mr. Marshall
nole. Mra. William Van Buaklrk. Mra. Harry Frederick and Mr.
Robert Mueller.
Mr. Matt Finnlgan will be In chart ot transportation, and those
needing It art welcome to call her.
Hospitality chairman la Mra. John Ashley, and ttie decorations
chairmen are Mra. I. M. Raymond and Mra. Arthur Relnhart.
Tha musical part of the program following the luncheon will be
arranged by Mr. Don Zumwalt. An Interesting preaentatlon of the
new atylea In hair and hata and their relation to each other la being
planned by three people who are outstanding In that field. Mr.
Margaret Klpllnger, who la president of the aouthern Oregon district
of tha Oregon Beautician association, and Steve Peter, president of
the Klamath unit of tha Oregon Beauticians association, will talk and
demonstrate hair atylea, and Mr. M. E. Nlcodemu will describe hat
fashions.

TEA TIME for the faculty wives lost Saturday when th
members of the faculty wives club gathered to welcome new
members. The club is organized for the wives of all the city
school foculty, and although it has existed for many years
it is now being reactivated. Shown in the picture above it
Mrs. Lloyd Emery, past president of the faculty wives,
serving at the teo table. The two guests that she is greeting
ore Mrs. Joseph Kueter, and Mrs. Calvin Bonney, both new
members.

they never stop, since
teachers during the sum
mer time often are busy
becoming students once
more at many of the col
leges; then they rush back
to participate in the teach
ers in service school pro
gram before school offic
ially opens.

dad summer is not quite a
vacation with exuberant
youngsters to watch, bad;
to school bringa the PTA,
Friday night children's
parties and numerous
school functions to attend.

Tea Held
The Klamath Falls faculty wives were hostesses Saturday to at!
the new members of the club. The welcoming tea waa held at the home
of Mrs. James Brown. Greeting the guests with Mrs. Brown waa Mrs.
Len Surles, president of the organisation.
Pouring at the tea table were Mrs. Arnold Oralapp and Mrs. Lloyd
Emery. Assisting about the room were Mrs. Robert Perry, Mrs. Jack
Kemnitzer, rice president, and Mrs. Darren Potter.
Committee heads for the affair were Mrs. Harold Teale, Mrs. Paul
Delicr. Mrs. Charles Carlsen, Mrs. Lowell Kaup, Mr. Donald Ross,
and Mrs. Freeman Yount.
The faculty wives organization has about 60 members from over the
city. Plans of the group for the future include a mixer for faculty
and their wives and one meeting a term.
OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE heads of Porents and Pat
rons club of Klamath Union high school gathered Wednes
day ot KUHS to discuss the year's work. Opening meeting
of the club, to which fathers and mothers of all KU stu
dents ore urged to attend, is slated for 8 o'clock next
Wednesday night, September 14, in the school auditorium.
Principal James L. Brown will head the program. Around
