Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Peters were
hosts on Thursday night lor a tarn
lly dinner at their south Chiloquin
home. Present for the evening were
Mr. and Mrs. Lawjon Swlhart of
Ontario. Calif., aunt and uncle ot
Mrs. Peters. Mrs. Rose Martin, Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Perkins and t w i n I
boys Terry and Jerry, all of Klsm
ath Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ver
non, daughter. Prudence, and Law
son Martin, all of Prineville, and
Mr. a n C Mrs. Lee Peters and
Michael.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Steber last week-end were Mr. and
Mrs. Claude Carnegie and her sis
ter, Hilda BarteU. all of Portland.
The two families had known each
other a tew years ago in Juneau.

cousins of their host. Bonnie and
Dick Tuttle of Hotchkisa, Colo. Tut-

The two boys traveled to Mrdford
a week ago to attend the wedding
of their older brother, Allan, who
has been a Chiloquin visitor from
time to time during the past years.
Mr. and Mrs. William Prtebe
left on Tuesday for a trip to Port
land to see a sister of Priebe's who
had undergone major surgery.
Two local families who hae re
cently returned from vacation trips
to Canada are the Cyril Cooks and
the Arthur F. Blocklingers. Cooks

couver Island. They took an Inter
esting ferry trip through the Han
Juan Islands. The Hiixkltnitera
spent part of their vacation farther
east and vlslied lake Louise and
Banff. Thry found the roads west
through Canada poor and returned

crossed the border to visit In Brit
ish Columbia.
Howard Luderman and Remo
Mlnato were discharged this past
week from the navy alter serving
for one year and arrived In Chilo
quin on Friday. Thry brought with
them a friend who had also been
discharged. Dick Oronholm of Coos
Bay. Howard remained In Chiloquin
until Sunday when he and his
brother, Kenneth Luderman. who
has been working here this sum
mer, left to Join their parents In
Roseburg. Kenneth will return to
the University of Oregon for his
senior year, and "Inward plans to
attend school In Ashland at South
ern Oregon college. Krmo Mlnato
also plans to attend college In Ash
land. Oillts Hannlgan. who has made
his home with Mr. and Mrs. Ken
neth Roberta during the past two
summers, left on Friday evening to
spend a few weeks with his par
ents, Mr. and Mis. tigilrn Brooks,
in northwestern Washington, before
returning lor hts sophomore year
at Oonsaga university In Hpokunr.

The oldest daughter, Nancy, will re

high school in Klamath Falls.

to Klamath Falls as she will teach

that Rev. L. J. Buck ot Clumkanie,

churches, had fallen Inun a seal

had received a serious injury to his
foot. He went into surgery on Mon
day morning and will be at hit.
Vincent's hospital In Portland for
approximately three weeks. His
daughter and aon-ln-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Forest Freid. drove north on
Saturday evening In be with Mrs.
Buck. Freid planned to return est
