rent fiscal year, July, receipts at
the airport show a 1M 1 total
with expenditures running H7n.
Tha city budget Included
for the airport this year, marking
the first lime since IPU that the
airport has needed operating
money.
Improvements at the airport
thto year Include cleaning the aur
plna buildings, planting a half
acre a( lawn near the administra
tion building; adding of one acre
af parking facilities, complete with
sidewalks: and painting tha
restaurant, fire atalioa and para
chute loft.
Winter preparations hsv also
been completed. Runway have
been patched, dltchea have been
cleaned for handling of tha sur
plus water.
The Lions dub dons ted the
sprinkler brads for the half-acre of
lawn, the labor was furnished by
the Klamath Air Search and Rescue
unit and the city chipped in with
seed, fertiliser and pipe.
As a mirror to the optimistic fi
nancial outlook at the airport,
rental on buildings has been low
