SHORT CUT TO SALT LAKI Klomath travelers have been making increasing use of the
Cedarville-Winnemuceo rood in order to cut short time and distance in reaching Solt Lake
City and points east. The rood, which lies on the proposed "Winnemucco to the Sea"
highway, is eosily accessible from Klamath Falls via Alturas and Cedarville, ond passes
through the little border town of Demo, which stroddles the Oregon-Nevada state line.
Denio is unique with its gombling rooms on one side of the border, the post office on the
other. From Klomoth Falls to Solt Lake vio this route is 697 miles, knocking more than a
hundred miles off the regular highway distonce. The rood is well-kept, though unsurfaced,
and fost travel is one of its assets.

Mrs. Edna Blrnbaum. an assistant

liability.
The Blrnbaums offered unsuc

the American Women's Voluntary
Service for 3000.
Then the "lucky- couple tried to
sell the house, but prospective pur
