Poultry Expert
Slates Talk
Trends tn eastern and mid est
poultry production will be discussed
by Dr. H. M. Scott, who Is the
head of the University of Illinois
poultry department, at the fifteenth
annual meeting of the Oregon Poul
try Improvement association. The
meeting w ill be held Thursday.
The all day meeting will begin at
10 a. m. daylight saving time. In
the OSC Memorial Union building.
On the two days following the meet
ing, the annual pullorum testing
and flock selecting school will be
held. Plans for the testing; and
school call for laboratory class
work one day. August !. and prac
tical and written examinations the
following morning.
Among the OSC poultry depart
ment staff members who will ap
pear on the association program
are Dr. J. E. Parker who will dis
cuss ways and means of improving
fertility In hatching eggs, and Dr.
Paul Dernier, who will speak on
flock Improvement.
Feed dealer. Held service repre
sentatives, poultry producers and
hatchery mm are all invited to the
meeting whether they are members
or not.
