Bride Drowns In
Willamette River .
NEWBERO. Aug. 1 OP A young
bride drowned In the Willamette
river south of here yesterday when
she became exhausted and sank
before her husband could help her.
She was Mrs. "Lawrence Charbo
" neau, 17, Oerval. She and her
husband had started working In a
hop yard and went- swimming to
cool off.
Mrs. Charboneauswam to a log
ging raft, climbed on the logs for
rest and sank after starting back
to shore. Firemen .recovered her
body.
